3GB Series Three Screw Pump
A triple screw positive-displacement pump for oil and oil-like lubricating liquids, covering 2.4–241.7 m³/h at pressures of 0.6–1.0 MPa and media temperatures up to 350 °C.

The 3GB series is a triple screw positive-displacement pump for conveying oil and oil-like lubricating liquids such as heavy oil, crude oil, diesel oil and pressurised fluid oil. It is published for media that are non-corrosive and contain no solid particles, with a flow range from 2.4 to 241.7 m³/h and heads from 60 to 250 m.
Three intermeshing screws enclose the liquid in sealed cavities and push it continuously and uniformly along the screw axis to the discharge, so the system pressure stays stable and the medium is not agitated. The published advantages of the design are corrosion resistance, heat resistance, good self-priming performance, easy maintenance and a rugged structure.
Media temperature is published up to 350 °C, which covers hot heavy oil and asphalt-type duties. Speeds are 950 r/min and 1450 r/min, motor ratings run from 11 kW to 75 kW and the NPSH required is published at 5.5 m. The series is applied in chemical fibre, petroleum, machinery, shipbuilding, glass, highway and metallurgical plants.

Values as published by the manufacturer. Every model is listed for both a 950 r/min and a 1450 r/min drive, and the published table also carries 0.8 MPa and 1.0 MPa duty points for the same sizes; the shaft power is published separately from the motor rating.
| Item | Published option |
| Pump type | Triple screw positive-displacement pump, cast construction |
| Construction options | Insulated and non-insulated builds are published; the insulated build is recommended for high-viscosity media so the suction range stays high without cavitation |
| Media contact | Published for non-corrosive oil and oil-like lubricating liquids free of solid particles |
| Temperature capability | Up to 350 °C, covering hot heavy oil and asphalt-type duties |
| Self-priming | Good self-priming performance published for the series |
| Speed | 950 r/min and 1450 r/min drive options |
| Motor | 11–75 kW; supply voltage and frequency confirmed at order stage |
- Heavy oil transfer: Moves heavy fuel oil and pressurised fluid oil in industrial and marine installations.
- Crude oil handling: Transfers crude oil in petroleum gathering and transport systems.
- Diesel and fuel oil supply: Feeds burners, engines and fuel-oil circuits with a stable pressure.
- Asphalt and bitumen circuits: Handles hot asphalt-type media at temperatures up to 350 °C.
- Chemical fibre plants: Serves the pumping duties of chemical fibre production lines.
- Shipbuilding and machinery: Used on board ship and in machine-building plants for lubricating and fuel oil.
- Glass, highway and metallurgy: Covers oil transfer duties in glass works, highway plants and metallurgical installations.
- Choose the speed deliberately: the same model gives about 1.5 times the flow at 1450 r/min compared with 950 r/min, at the cost of a larger motor, so the system flow determines the drive.
- Check the pressure stage against the system resistance; the published table lists 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 MPa duty points on the same sizes.
- Confirm the medium is non-corrosive and free of solid particles, which is the published condition for the 3GB series.
- For high-viscosity media select the insulated construction, which is published as the recommended build because it keeps the suction range high without cavitation.
- Verify the medium temperature against the published 350 °C limit and confirm the sealing arrangement at order stage.
- Allow 5.5 m of NPSH required, which is published for the whole model table, when the suction layout is designed.
What media is the 3GB three screw pump designed for?
Oil and oil-like lubricating liquids that are non-corrosive and free of solid particles: heavy oil, crude oil, diesel oil and pressurised fluid oil, at temperatures up to 350 °C.
How do I choose between the 950 r/min and 1450 r/min versions?
The higher speed gives more flow from the same casing with a larger motor: 90*2-42 delivers 28.2 m³/h at 950 r/min and 43.1 m³/h at 1450 r/min. Select the speed that meets the required flow with the lowest absorbed power.
What is the head range of the 3GB series?
Heads from 60 to 250 m are published for the series, with pressure duty points of 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 MPa in the model table.
Does the 3GB pump need an insulated build?
For high-viscosity media the insulated construction is recommended, because it is published as keeping the suction range high without cavitation when thick oil is pumped.
What is the flow and head range of the 3GB three screw pump?
Flow from 2.4 to 241.7 m³/h and heads from 60 to 250 m, published across the 950 r/min and 1450 r/min drives.
What media can the 3GB pump handle?
Oil and oil-like lubricating liquids that are non-corrosive and contain no solid particles, including heavy oil, crude oil, diesel oil and pressurised fluid oil.
What is the maximum medium temperature?
The published temperature range for the 3GB series extends up to 350 °C.
What motor power does the 3GB series use?
Motors from 11 kW to 75 kW, with the shaft power published separately for each duty point, and an NPSH required of 5.5 m.
Which industries use the 3GB screw pump?
Chemical fibre, petroleum, machinery, shipbuilding, glass, highway and metallurgy, for oil transfer, circulation and burner supply duty.
