The 3G series is a triple screw pump designed for conveying oils and lubricating liquids that resemble oil, with no solid particles and no corrosive attack. It is published with high volumetric and mechanical efficiency, smooth operation, a simple structure and a reasonable design.
The liquid is enclosed in the cavities formed between the meshing screws and pushed continuously along the screw axis to the outlet, so the output is stable and free of pulsation and the medium is not stirred. The published working envelope is 2.4–241.7 m³/h of flow with heads from 60 to 250 m and medium temperatures up to 350 °C.
Motors are published from 11 kW to 75 kW with drives at 950 r/min and 1450 r/min, and the NPSH required is 5.5 m. Because the pump is self-priming and quiet in operation, it is widely used by petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, electric power, shipbuilding and machinery-manufacturing plants for fuel, lubricating and hydraulic oil duty.
